Tools of the Trade and a couple images

Well it looks like no one has posted a comment so far but we won't let it get us down. As I said before we would put some images of the beginning steps to this point. I started with some rough drafts of the concept and as I said Rod was nice enough to tweak it and make my skills seem minute.

Attached here is the first screen that we made. This image is our first logo. We have been putting it on our own shirts so that we can walk around and advertise. This screen is part of a complete screen that we did up with what is going to be our first order. The next image shows the entire screen that I did up.

As you can see the screen includes the first logo large and also a smaller image of the same logo. In the center is the website information. This will be going on the left sleeve of each shirt that we sell. Yea I know, self promoting but such is business.

The image below is for Rod. Something I picked up on during our cruise and I have seen it in many of his pictures! The old eyes looking away trick!
After figuring out the random placement thingy (I have a syndrom known as ANAL and I don't always find it easy to place images just random) I was able to come to grips with just placing an image truly randomly on a shirt as seen here. After adjusting and READJUSTING my RANDOM image I was able to actually screen our first prototype.

BOY DO I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH RANDOMNESS!!!!!

And for those of you who didn't notice that is Ann wearing the first prototype.

And one last RANDOM picture is the basement area that we are currently using for the screen printing. With that I will leave this and post this blog. I hope to figure out the whole picture placement as the blogs continue.
Are you Certified???

The beginning of our new venture

The time has come and we are once again spreading our wings. We have ventured into the Personalized Apparel Industry. Ann and I have expanded our promotional printing business to include "Certified-Apparel" brand of clothing. We have done the research and designed the logo and have our trademark. We designed and redesigned and even received some outside assistance from our good friend Rod on our logo that will identify us. He has even agreed to put his unique and high quality brand into the design of our website. I can't wait to see what he does with that. It's the hidden treasures within the sites that he builds that make them special but he also has awesome skills when it comes to design and first class web sites. The idea came while listening to talk radio and all of the concern over illegal aliens and how they are taking over the country one individual at a time. I came up with my first idea to have a design that would show what looks to be a rubber stamp on a shirt. On the stamp is the words "CERTIFIED U.S. CITIZEN". A simple enough idea but there is more. In order to receive a shirt with not only what I mentioned but also a REGISTRATION number and also an Established date (The year you were born). The registration number will be issued once proof of citizenship is received. A birth certificate with all personal information except name, state of birth and year. This information is used to prove citizenship for the name received, assign a number and also the established date. Every citizen will have their own number. NO DUPLICATES. We then kept thinking and we can certify so much more so here we are with our new venture. I am terrible at blogs but hopefully my interest will remain high and Ann and I will continue to update this blog with early achievements and also general information as the venture grows. Watch for the first pictures that we have with everything from the screen design to some of our fist products.
